I’m always trying to “teach” others how to win. I possess this innate ability, and I don’t mind sharing with others, my knowledge (hence the reason for my 23 written works).  I’m about to teach all that are reading this posting something highly intrinsic and invaluable (and to be very cognizant of ), for this upcoming (only 6 days away) College Football season.

“The Revenge Factor”

In college football (more-so than college hoops), the “revenge factor” is a great betting angle, and I’ll tell you why….

9 times out of 10 in comes down to three very simple pieces of “reasoning”.

A. Is the box score from the previous meeting at all “telling”?

B. Are the two teams the same from a personnel prospective?

C. If the answer “Yes” is derived from both questions, then, there’s only one more pertinent question that needs to be asked: Where/Who have the Oddsmakers adjusted the line in favor of?

Example: Baylor @ Wake (Game is scheduled to be played on Sept. 5th)

In said game, I told ALL of my paying clients that WAKE-11,  should have been laying -20 minimum and that laying the -11 would be like stealin” money! Well, I was correct, for the final score was (41-13)!

Back on point: This Year’s Meeting

After disecting the score from last year’s game; three items became abundantly clear as to “why” Wake has onlt been installed as a mere (-2) point favorite.

First, Baylor went 2 of 12 on 3rd down conversions!

Secondly, they had a true freshman QB (try to remember this name, for he’s going to be a Heisman Trophy canidate in 2010/2011), ROBERT GRIFFIN, come in “in releif” of the original starter, and his final numbers wern’t bad, in going 11 of 19. And after a much closer analysis of young Mr. Griffin; I noticed something even more “telling”…..In Every Game that his QB Rating was 90 or higher, the Baylor Bears either WON or COVERED….(8-3) Against the Spread!!!!

Finally, Wake won the proverbial “turnover battle” (5-2)!!!! The team that “wins that battle” (in the NFL) usually wins about 90% of the time. In College, in isn’t quite so staggering, it’s only about 77%!!!!

In closing, the question must be asked: Why (if both teams are basically the same from a personnel standpoint) is the point spread down 9-full points, and Wake is at home instead of on the road???

Well, I’ve already explained most of the “reasons why”, but now I’m going to add a few intangibles to this contest, for you to ponder…

***Robert Griffin is a taller/faster and now “bigger” version of a young Michael Vick (from the days when Vick was at V.T.)!!!***

***At ALL times, Robert Griffin WILL BE THE FASTEST MAN ON THE FIELD!***

***Furthermore, he is accurate (as a passer, and it’s not just about his feet/speed), last season, he completed almost 60% of his throws!!! That’s AMAZING for a “happy-footed” QB, who is now a much better version of himself….SCARY!!!!

And for the record…..I’m ALL OVER Baylor+15 as one of my first 4-team/13pt teaser bets, on opening weekend!
