Always Doing My Due Diligence

As of Tuesday, November 17th, 105 out of 169 home teams have won in the NBA. That equates to approximately 62.1%. Now as of the writing of this post, home teams have gone 16 for their last 21.
So, that brings us to 121 out of 190, or 63.8%. Now if that rate of home teams (winning) were to continue; that would equate to 82.4% of home teams winning, over the next 143 days (which are the amount of days remaining in the regular season), but that’s highly unlikely.
But, if we split the difference, it would amount to the home team’s winning percentage of 73.1%. Even that, is probably very unlikely, and the norm (in the NBA) is for home teams to win about 61 to 64% of the time, during the regular season.
Conclusion: This recent hot streak of 16 out of 21, or 76.1% has absolutely no chance of continuing. And here’s where my mathematical prowess can lead to some very easy “forecasting”.
Allow me to elaborate: At the writing of this post (which is currently 7:25 EST), there are 3 finals in the NBA and the Miami Heat game is at halftime. And, it looks as though 3 out of the 4 road teams are going to be winners; which further proves/makes my point.
In closing, I’d like to make a formal apology to all my 25%er clients.
(7-4) two weeks ago from Monday to Sunday, and (6-5) for this past week. Now technically, 59% is nothing to be ashamed of. But, it is certainly below my high standards. I think that this spell of mediocrity is a complete aberration, and facilitated by the fact that I’m working on two books at once.

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. My name is Joseph James Tuttle, and the proud author of 24 sports and/or horse betting books. My books are readily available on Amazon.com. I’ve been a professional gambler now for little over 15 years, and it is primarily because of my mathematical prowess. I have a complete understanding of ATM (Applied Theory Mathematics), and that is the realm in which all of my betting theorems are predicated. As of January 31st, 2010, I turned 40-years young. I’ve considered myself to be a Professional Gambler, since about age twenty-six.
